เมื่อพูดถึงเรื่องสต๊อกสินค้า ก็จะนึกถึงความยุ่งยากในการจัดการ เพราะคำว่าสต๊อกสินค้า นั่นไม่ได้หมายความแค่ว่า จำนวนรับสินค้าเข้า จำนวนสินค้าออก จำนวนสินค้าคงเหลือ แต่ทุกจำนวนของสินค้าทั้งเข้าและออก นั่นหมายถึงยอดรายรับรายจ่ายที่เกิดขึ้นด้วย หากของที่ถูกขายออกไป มากกว่าจำนวนรายได้ที่เข้ามานั่นแปลว่าเราอาจเกิดความเสียหายได้ก็คือขาดทุน และนี่แหล่ะที่จะทำให้เกิดอาการปวดหัว ของหายไปไหน ขายของไปกี่ชิ้น เหลือกี่ชิ้น มียอดขายของเดือนนี้เท่าไร บางคนอาจใช้ระบบมือในการจัดการสต๊อก ซึ่งมันก็ช่วยได้ แต่อาจจะทำให้ช้าเสียเวลา
