People with children in international schools in Bangkok might be looking for various ways to keep entertained while they’re living in the city. Fortunately, Bangkok has a large selection of movie theaters to choose from, many of which show Hollywood films in English. There are also theaters that show foreign-language films with English subtitles.

If anyone with children in international schools in Bangkok wants to check out a movie in the large-screen IMAX format, there are several options available. There’s the Toyota IMAX Theater, the Krungsri IMAX, Paragon Cineplex, the Krungsri IMAX, Major Cineplex Pinklao, and the Krungsri IMAX, Major Cineplex Ratchayothin. The movies shown are Hollywood films, and are shown in their original English language, though there may be Thai subtitles. The downside is that the movie choice is often very limited, with usually at most two movies to choose from across all the theaters.

Those people with a kid in an international school in Bangkok looking for a more traditional movie experience also have a number of options to choose from. In addition to showing IMAX movies, the Paragon Cineplex also shows regular Hollywood movies in their original English language. Major Cineplex also has several theaters in Bangkok with Hollywood movies shown in English, including Major Cineplex Phetchakasem and Major Cineplex Samsen. These theaters have a far greater variety of movies shown than the IMAX theaters. Also keep in mind that while the movies are shown in English, there may be Thai subtitles.

For example, you can check out Thai and other Asian films at U-Hollywood (which, as you might guess from its name, also shows Hollywood films), Major Cineplex Lotus Bangkapi, SF Cinema City, Grand EGV Seacon, and SFX Cinema. Unfortunately, movie selection tends to be limited, though not as limited as IMAX movie selection.
